Histories Dave And Buster’s
James Corley and David Corriveau opened the first Dave & Buster’s in Dallas, Texas, in 1982. There were many corporate changes, including the acquisition of majority ownership by Edison Brothers Stores (1989); spinoff from Edison Brothers (1995); acquisitions by D&B at 9 Jillian’s restaurants by D&B after the latter’s bankruptcy (2004), and acquisitions of D&B in 2005 by Wellspring Capital Management.
Oak Hill Capital Partnership took control of D&B in June 2010. The chain was then publicly traded in 2014. There are currently 73 D&B locations across the United States, and one in Canada as of November 2014.
Their Famous Moments
D&B restaurants are known and loved for three reasons. The full menu includes American cuisine with D&B treatments. This includes burgers and pasta, chicken, steaks, seafood, desserts, and drinks at the bar.
The menu is updated regularly to reflect current trends, seasonal variations, guest favorites, and other culinary trends. The entertainment area offers both traditional and modern games that can be activated with the Power Card. Coin-activated games can also be found. The company also sponsors sporting events such as the UFC or WWE matches.
