The year was 1998. Bill Allen and Paul Fleming two prominent restaurateurs, opened their initial Fleming’s Steakhouse restaurant in Newport Beach, California. Their goal was to create a casual steakhouse with an emphasis on delicious food that is based on the highest quality aged USDA Prime beef, based on gracious hospitality offered by the staff, and to create a friendly atmosphere.
