Melting Pot History
Melting pots have a story going back to the hip and occasionally depressing 70s. The first store was inaugurated within Maitland Florida, which is a city located just outside Orlando. In the beginning, just three kinds of delicious fondue were sold at the restaurant: beef, cheese, and chocolate. The franchise first was transferred to three brothers: Mark, Mike, and Bob.
The first store they inaugurated around 1979 Tallahassee Florida, with resounding success. The brothers worked hard to ensure the success of the chain. In 1981, a second restaurant opened within Tampa Florida. Inspiring by the success of this restaurant the brothers tried to expand their business more.
The brothers were so fascinated by the chain’s potential and idea that they purchased the entire right to use the brand name for restaurants.
They later founded The Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc. It took them a year to revamp and relaunch the name. However, the trio soon offered franchises to anyone who was interested in the concept of the chain.
The change was preceded by a careful plan and development. The company constructed facilities within St. Petersburg and Clearwater Florida. The company accelerated its already growing business in the early 2000s. It is now getting international attention, with a focus on regions all the way to the Middle East. The headquarters of the company is at Tampa Florida.
